A guide to maintaining your website through the MyRent interface

 

When you open your web page in an Internet browser, the home page "Home" will be displayed, a category from the navigation bar at the top of the page. Clicking on the button on the navigation bar will show you the content that describes the name of the button.


With the MyRent interface, you will be able to edit and edit all the content on your website yourself. Here we will explain how it is all done.


The following main paragraph titles are the names of the buttons on the navigation bar at the top of your website.

Pay attention to the parts of the images highlighted in red.

1. At home


To edit the text content on this part of the page, go to Main Settings> Registry> User text in the MyRent interface (Registry section).



Select the highlighted “Add new” button so that you can select and add the desired language. We recommend that the content in the Croatian language section, for example, be in Croatian only. When you select the desired language, text input fields are automatically displayed. If you first get to this part in the image above, to edit the text it will be enough to click to select the language you want to edit on the left side of the image above.


1.1. Editing titles and subtitles

After you have made the last step, text input fields will be displayed in the MyRent interface.


Texts in rounded field names are displayed on the page. When you hover your mouse over the page, you will see other fields that we will describe in the following points.

Underlined fields such as Meta title, Web description, Meta keywords, Meta tags are background items that are not visible on the web page. Such items are used so that guests can find you on the web faster and easier when searching the Internet.

1.2. Editing a description

You enter the text here, and after you save it, it becomes visible on the website.

1.3. Editing General Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

The editing of the mentioned fields works on the same principle as from point 1.2. At the bottom of your page are links to Terms & conditions and Privacy policy.


You will find it in Main Settings-User text-Terms/Privacy


Remember to save any changes. To save, you need to click the "Save" button located at the bottom of the MyRent interface where you are currently.


2. Gallery

To edit the content on this part of the page, go to Property details-Pictures in the MyRent interface. Here you will see a list of accommodation that you have already entered into the system. Select the accommodation by clicking on "Edit" and when the accommodation page opens, select "Pictures" from the drop-down menu of the "General" button located in the navigation bar of the current page.



Once you have done this, the image gallery will open. You can find out more about uploading images to the gallery in point 3.2.


In order to display the desired image from the accommodation gallery on your website, you need to click on the name of the image you want to post.



  

 

After clicking on the image name with the mouse, a new page will open. You will clearly recognize the part of the page from the right image.

When you select “Gallery” and save the change, the image will automatically be displayed in the “Gallery” section of your website. If you select the "Front page" option, the image will also be available on the home page, ie in the "Home" section.

3. Accommodation

To edit the content of individual accommodation on your website, you need to go to Objects> Properties in the MyRent interface. When you open the route you will see a list of all your accommodations. On the left side of the line where the name of the accommodation is, you will see the "Ob" button. Click the button.


When you click on the "Ob" button, the profile of that accommodation will open. 

 


3.1. Editing accommodation descriptions

If you want to add a description of the accommodation go to the navigation bar in the picture above, go to the drop down menu on the “General” button and select “Descriptions”.


 When you have done this, a text editor will open in which you will be able to write a description. Don't forget to save the changes by clicking the "Save" button.


3.2. How to add images to the gallery

There is an "Pictures" item in the navigation bar in the "General" drop-down menu.




To add images, click in the “Upload images” section, then highlight the image (s) from your folder on your computer. Wait for the upload to complete, then refresh the page.

 

Images will be displayed in the “Pictures” subsection. Once you have decided which image you would like to set as the main image, hover your mouse over the image in the “Pictures” subsection and you will have the option to set it as the main image. See the picture above.


The “Main picture” subsection shows the image you selected for the main picture.


3.3 How to add amenities

To add amenities, go to the navigation bar in the drop-down menu under "Amenities - Facilities" . Now check all the items provided by your accommodation. 



3.4. How to add property details

To add property details you need to go to the property and under the navigation bar in the drop-down menu choose "Property"



Then fill out two parts: Extra details, Booking engine settings.

When you're done editing, don't forget to click the "Save" button in the section where you made the changes.





When you have filled it out it will appear like this:


The information you just entered is visible in the short description of the accommodation (picture below).

 


4. Blog

To edit the content on this part of the page, go to Main Settings> Booking engine> Blog in the MyRent interface:



To add new blogs, select the "Add new blog" button, then a new blank line will be created in the list, where you will find the "Edit" button next to the left edge. Check the "active" column, along the right edge, which says whether the blog is published on your website or not.


After selecting “Edit”, the page for editing the selected blog will be displayed



4.1. Edit basic blog information

Pay attention to the framed parts in the picture below.



Make sure that the article has a main picture (see point 4.4), a title, that it is published, that it is known in which language it is written and put the name of the author of the article. The “Group” item sorts article types into a specific category, such as the Travel category.


It is desirable to have metadata, so that the Internet browser ranks your content better on the web.

Don't forget to finally save the changes by clicking by selecting all 3 levers "Save blog".


4.2 Writing an article

Edit the text and add images in a similar way as you do in Microsoft Word.

Don't forget to save what you've made, by clicking on "Save blog content".



To add images, select the “Image” button in the text editor in the image above.

When you click on this button, the 1st window will open in which you need to select the button

“Browse Server”. Then the 2nd window will open in which you need to reach with the mouse

on the image you want to insert, and click on the magnifying glass that will be displayed.

The “Link” tab can be useful if you want to put a link to an image. When you open the “Link” tab, you will see a “URL” field and enter the page address in that field.

To add an image with the mouse, click on the magnifying glass, or on the area inside the red circle in the image on the right.


 


This is what your article ultimately looks like on your website.

The image on the right shows the article as it looks when opened.



The image below shows the article as it looks before it opens. Write a sentence here that best describes what the article will be about (point 4.3).


4.3. Add a descriptive sentence

It is enough to write one sentence here that describes what the article will be about.



4.4 Add pictures



The procedure for adding images to the gallery and selecting the main image is described in point 3.2.


4.5 Browse the blog via the MyRent interface

An overview of everything you have written in one place.


 


5. Reviews

To see more detailed information about each review, go to Objects> Properties. Once you have opened the route, a list of your accommodations will be displayed. If you are interested in reviews of guests who have stayed in the room "Room city view 1", for example, clicking on the "Ob" button will open the profile for that room.


 


When you have opened the room profile, select "Amenities" in the navigation bar, and select "Reviews" in the drop-down menu.


 


Once you have selected “Reviews” a page will open where you will be able to add reviews or edit (picture left).

Notice the “Add review” and “Edit” buttons.



When you click on “Edit” a new “Review detail” section will open on the page (picture on the right) where you will be able to see and edit reviews.

When you're done editing, don't forget to click the "Save review" button and the "Sync with portals" button.

To edit the data you need to click on the image under the “User” section at the top of the menu in the MyRent interface (vertical image on the right).

You can add and delete data, don't forget to click on "Save user" and on "Save company" after you have finished editing.
